Alfano ADA Guide: Getting Data Off Your Alfano 6 or 7

ADA (Alfano Data Analyse) is Alfano’s free companion software for the Alfano 6, Alfano 7, and PROIII Evo. It downloads your sessions over Bluetooth to a phone or tablet, organizes them by date, driver, and circuit, shows your laps and channels, and handles firmware updates. It is the right first stop for every Alfano owner. Its limits show up when you want deeper coaching-style analysis or need to compare against a MyChron, and that is where exporting your data out of ADA comes in.
Alfano’s software ecosystem confuses a lot of new owners, partly because several similarly named apps exist side by side. Here is what ADA actually does, how to get your sessions out of it, and where it stops being the right tool.
What ADA does well
- Wireless download. Pair your Alfano over Bluetooth and pull sessions straight to your phone in the paddock. No laptop, no cables, no card readers.
- Session organization. Sessions sort and filter by date, driver, circuit, and category, which makes finding "that good session from May" genuinely easy.
- Lap and channel review. Lap times, RPM, speed, temperatures, and G-force data, viewable per lap.
- Housekeeping. Firmware updates and circuit management for your logger live here too, so you want ADA installed even if you analyze elsewhere.
- Sharing. Sessions can be exported and shared off the device (mail, Bluetooth, and similar), which matters more than it sounds; it is the door to every third-party analysis tool.
ADA vs ADA LIGHT vs ADSGPS: which app?
In the app stores you will find ALFANO ADA, ALFANO ADA LIGHT, and ALFANO ADSGPS Professional. For an Alfano 6 or 7, the one you want is ALFANO ADA. LIGHT is a reduced version, and ADSGPS Professional targets Alfano’s older ADSGPS hardware. Installing the wrong one is the single most common reason a new Alfano “won’t connect.” If the app cannot find your logger, check the app name before blaming the Bluetooth.
Getting your data out of ADA
The short version: download the session to your phone in ADA, then use the share/export function to send the session file wherever you need it. Alfano 6 sessions export as .csv or .txt files (sometimes bundled in a ZIP), and those files are exactly what third-party tools read. Where ADA hits its ceiling
ADA shows you your data; it does not tell you what to do about it. There is no corner-by-corner coaching, no automatic "you are losing time in turns 3 and 7," and no theoretical best-lap construction from your session. It is also brand-locked: it reads Alfano loggers only, so a team with one kid on a MyChron and one on an Alfano cannot put two sessions side by side. And the deeper analysis views carry a learning curve that most parents and busy drivers never climb. None of that is a knock on free manufacturer software; it is just the point where a dedicated analysis layer takes over. The workflow that works
Keep ADA for what it is best at: getting sessions off the logger, updating firmware, and quick lap-time checks in the paddock.
